OCHA Afghanistan

As Public Information Officer, I produced and edited operational updates, situation reports and monthly humanitarian bulletins for the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Afghanistan, synthesizing inputs from field offices, technical clusters and partner organizations, including non-governmental organizations. My work ensured timely, clear and actionable reporting for United Nations agencies, donors and humanitarian partners, supporting decision-making, coordination and advocacy across emergency and conflict-affected contexts. Reporting included earthquake responses, conflict-driven displacement in Kunduz and ongoing humanitarian needs assessments, providing standardized situational analysis in both narrative and tabular formats.

Monthly Humanitarian Bulletin
Description: Edited and formatted monthly humanitarian bulletins for OCHA Afghanistan, providing timely operational updates, humanitarian analysis and situation summaries to inform UN agencies, donors and humanitarian partners. I coordinated inputs from multiple field offices, partner organizations and technical clusters, edited content for clarity and readability and authored select bulletin pieces. Using established layout templates, I ensured consistency and professional presentation across all issues.
